The First SNC Welcome Mat – August 1974
The first Welcome Mat (Volume 1/Issue 1) was created in August 1974 and mailed to 207 members. It reveals many interesting things about SNC’s activities 50 years ago – particularly how much they enjoyed bowling and bridge!
The activity groups included:
A Dinner Group, Couples Bridge (held on Friday nights), Bridge (for ladies during the day - two separate groups!), Bowling (two groups - mixed and ladies- with a nursery provided) and a very busy Arts and Crafts Group.
